Hi, guys —

  • Why does the Bible say that we should love the Jews?

If anyone of you have ever worked in a corporation, primarily run by Jews, I promise, you will lose your fear of going to Hell.

Hi, Stephen —

You said:

  • Why does the Bible say that we should love the Jews?

Because the golden rule tells us we should do to others, what we would want done to us, whether they are Jewish or non-Jewish acquaintances and whether they dislike us for some reason,
or like us . . . plus remember Our Lord, Himself, said:

22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. (John 4:22 RSV)

Finally, our previous Pope, Pope St. John Paul II, referred to our Jewish brethren as:

our elder brothers and sisters in the faith.

You said:

I work in such an organization whose Founder and fellow employees (were|are) <fully> Jewish and
I don't fear going to Hell, but have a moral assurance of going to Heaven.

I work in the Catholic Church : )

Mike

Stephen replied:

Mike,

You are correct; and I do agree.

Stephen
