Hi, guys —
I wanted to know if my Confession would be valid, since I owe restitution and I am currently unemployed. I can't really make it right now and I think I am making a reasonable effort to find a job. I have an account on two job sites that I think will work the best for me and I am working with three employment agencies though they mostly have temporary jobs which I can't really take because I need a permanent job. There are also jobs that are a bit far for me or others, where I know they won't hire me, because they are looking for more experienced people.
- Should I be job searching with every job website that I can:
- even though I know they haven't worked out in the past for me and
- are not that good for finding jobs?
- Seeing that I owe restitution, do I have to take any job in order for my Confession to be valid? or
- Am I already putting forth a reasonable effort?

These are questions you should be asking your Confessor: the priest that hears your Confession.
There are remaining questions to your original query that have been left out of your original e-mail, like:
- who the restitution is to, and
- how much is the restitution?
You should bring answers to these questions to a faithful Confessor while sharing with him your employment situation.
That said and remembering previous questions you have asked us, you should not be over scrupulous about this; your Confessor can help you more than we can in this area.
Mike
