Mike this looks like an assignment but I'll provide a quick answer below if you thinks it's legit.
I'll give you just surface look.
Looking at the life of Joseph, we see a type of Christ. We see someone who, in spite of the way he was mistreated by his brothers, forgave them and saved them from starvation. In doing so,
he saved Israel. After all, if he had never been sold into slavery, he never would have been in the position that he eventually found himself in.
He became Pharaoh's right hand man and, if this hadn't taken place, perhaps Jacob and his sons would not have survived the famine. Judah would not have had decedents and it is through the line of Judah that Jesus was born.
