Hi, Kevin —
When a priest marries a couple, he is bestowing on them the grace to fulfill the obligations and duties of marriage, including fidelity (staying together).
It doesn't matter what is confessed in Confession, a priest cannot:
- reveal it, or
- even do anything about it, or
- act in any way upon the information.
If the Confessor confessed he had poisoned the communion wine, the priest would be obliged to drink it as if nothing had happened. The priest would just absolve the person if they were truly sorry for their sins.
