Martha Alvarez wrote:

Hi, guys —

Several people have mentioned that May 21, 2011 is the day that our Lord Jesus Christ will bring to Heaven those that are saved. They also say the rest of the people will be left on Earth to endure torment and suffering for five months, after which the world will end, the date being October 21, 2011. These people have said it is written in the Bible and the Bible guarantees these dates.

  • Is there any truth to this?

Martha

  { Is there any truth that these Bible-backed rumors about the end of the world are near? }

Paul replied:

Dear Martha,

No. Nowhere in the Bible does it tell of when Christ will come again to judge the living and the dead. He did not reveal this information. In fact, Scripture states that we know neither the day nor the hour.

13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.

Matthew 25:13

The goal of the Christian life is to always be ready.

Peace,

Paul
