Hi, guys —
- I have been to Confession but I forgot
a big sin.
- Is that sin still forgiven or do I still
have to confess it?

Hi, Jason —
- If you genuinely forget to confess
the sin, then it's been forgiven.
- If you omitted the sin on purpose
then you've committed another sin
by omitting it.
That means none of the sins you confessed
were forgiven.

Jason,
It is always good to confess the
sin you forgot in your next Confession,
particularly if it was a mortal sin.
I'm not exactly sure what the Church
teaches on whether a sin like is
conditionally forgiven, but
I personally wouldn't receive Communion
until such a mortal sin, assuming I was conscious
that it was a mortal sin, was confessed.
Peace,
Paul

sin, yes, you have to go to Confession
and mention it before receiving Holy
Communion.
If you
don't know what a mortal sin is, this posting should help you:
Hope this helps,
