Hi, Andrea —

Thanks for the question.

You said:

  • What does the global church mean for you?

For me, it means, I have my work cut out : )

Our Blessed Lord says in Scripture himself:

And Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.

(Matthew 28:18-20)

For short, since there is one Christ, who founded one Church and since He sent His Apostles and disciples to:

teach others to observe all that I have commanded you;

The ultimate goal for us, is to do this, so all will join the one global or Universal Church
the Catholic Church founded by God-Incarnated: Jesus Christ, Our Blessed Lord.

We spread the Good News but it's for others to choose or not choose the Church.

We just give the good reasons why one should become a Catholic Christian and clarify the misperceptions about the Church's Teachings.

It's the individual's choice and free will, not ours.

My colleagues may have their own personal answer, but that's mine.

Mike
