Hi, guys —
I'm seeking advice on the gravity of actions made in anger.
My son was being rude to my 9-month-old son and not letting him play with the stuff he was playing with — pulling things out of his hands and throwing it.
After fussing with him, he wouldn't stop being mean so I walked up and grabbed an X-Box controller and threw it on the chair, then moved away and threw my hat at the door, and then picked up a toy sword and chucked it down the hallway, after that I went to the bathroom to cool off.
I know I lost my cool and I apologized to my family.
- Would this seem like a mortal sin or is it venial since I reacted without a forethought?
- I think this was venial but I was wondering what you all thought? . . .
and I was wondering if you have any resources or prayers that can help me avoid this in the future.
Thanks for your time I appreciate you all!
Evan
