Hi Mike,
The first quote from Holy Quotes:
“No one may whisper, nor slumber, nor laugh, nor nod; for, in church, all ought to stand wisely, soberly, and attentively, having their attention fixed upon the Word of the Lord.”
Is not from the Didache but rather something that is claimed to be from the Didache. I just thought I would pass that on.
I enjoy your Holy Quotes e-mails and really like your site and how many references you make to the Scriptures and the Early Church Fathers.
Thank you for all the work you do.

Can you explain why a Holy Quote you are sending out cannot be found in the Didache? }

Hi Brad,
You are right. Thanks for the correction.
The appropriate change has been made to the Holy Quotes database.
No one may whisper, nor slumber, nor laugh, nor nod; for, in church, all ought to stand wisely, soberly, and attentively, having their attention fixed upon the Word of the Lord.
Apostolic Constitutions - Book 2, Section 7

Thanks,
